Tickets go on sale Monday, starting at \u00a325 ($33).<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tWriter-director Tarantino said: \u201cI\u2019m keen with anticipation to give the West End a great night out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/sacha-baron-cohen\/\" id=\"auto-tag_sacha-baron-cohen_1\" data-tag=\"sacha-baron-cohen\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sacha Baron Cohen<\/a>, currently starring in Ali G: Who Iz I?, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/lifestyle\/arts\/sacha-baron-cohen-quentin-tarantino-play-popinjay-cavalier-1236696478\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">has nabbed the title role <\/a>in what will also be his first-ever West End appearance. He described his phone call with the auteur: \u201cI said yes before he even got to say his first \u2018motherfucker.\u2019 When the best director in the world calls, you don\u2019t ask questions. I am beyond delighted that we will be losing our West End virginity together. I have made him promise not to be gentle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tSet in 1830s Europe, The Popinjay Cavalier is a \u201cswash-buckling, rambunctious comedy of deception and disguise inspired by the grand swashbuckling epics of stage and screen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe production company continued: \u201cA sweeping celebration of theatre and its heightened romance, told with Tarantino\u2019s signature style and unmistakable wit, The Popinjay Cavalier is inspired by the classic swashbuckler genre of old Hollywood, including the writings of George Bruce, Ernst Vajda and Jesse Lasky Jr.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAlso announced today is the creative team joining Tarantino: scenic and costume design is by Tom Pye; with lighting design by Natasha Chivers. Sound design is by Ian Dickinson; the fight director is Philip d\u2019Orleans; the action co-ordinator is Sam Lyon-Behan; music is by Tim Phillips; casting by Jim Carnahan, CSA; and the associate director is Jack Bradfield.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tFull casting will be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Quentin Tarantino\u2018s West End debut has set a date.
