In a Givealittle, his family described Ryder as an \u201cawesome kid full of life\u201d who was taken way too soon.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur young and vibrant boy Ryder has passed away unexpectedly swept out to shore at Tangi Moana Beach.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was only 7 years old and just had life planning out for him with an awesome future ahead of him a great sports player brother, son, nefu and grandson.\u201d<\/p>\n

Funds are being raised to help with funeral costs, catering and travel.<\/a><\/p>\n

It is the third death at the Rangit\u012bkei River mouth within a month.<\/p>\n

Coley-Clark was with another person who managed to \u201cself-rescue\u201d and get back to shore unharmed, police said on Friday.<\/p>\n

Officers worked at the scene alongside Hato Hone St John, the New Zealand Defence Force, Coastguard Manawat\u016b and Coastguard Whanganui volunteers, Surf Life Saving New Zealand and members of the public.<\/p>\n

H\u012bmatangi Beach volunteer fire brigade told the Herald it was \u201cvery sad and very tragic\u201d and confirmed they helped search for Ryder. <\/p>\n

Last month, two people died <\/a>near the river mouth at Tangimoana after their boat capsized about 8.30am on September 14.<\/p>\n

Manawat\u016b area commander Inspector Matenga Gray confirmed two people had died and one was taken to hospital for treatment after suffering injuries. <\/p>\n
