Josh Horowitz\/YouTube<\/p>\n Debunking host Josh Horowitz\u2019s belief that he got \u201csweet\u201d residuals from \u201cWanted,\u201d which came out in 2008, McAvoy clarified he doesn\u2019t \u201cget too much money from\u201d that project.<\/p>\n As for why \u201cSplit\u201d is still raking it in, the \u201cShameless\u201d alum told listeners, \u201cIt was made for $6 million or something like that. I\u2019d say they spent $30 [million] advertising it. Our first weekend, we made $40 [million], so we made profit. Our first residuals check came at the end of the first weekend. \u201c<\/p>\n He called this a \u201cbonkers\u201d situation and credited the movie\u2019s \u201csuper smart\u201d director, M. Night Shyamalan.<\/p>\n McAvoy, notably, played a character with 24 personalities<\/a> in \u201cSplit\u201d \u2014 and, Horowitz recalled during Thursday\u2019s sitdown, there was \u201creal talk\u201d at the time about the role being \u201crecognized\u201d during awards season.<\/p>\n The Golden Globe nominee joked about sometimes receiving mere cents.
