A new wellbeing service has opened in Victoria for people experiencing mental health difficulties or loneliness.<\/p>\n
Based at Dar Manresa, the service is being run by the Diocese of Gozo in collaboration with Caritas Gozo.<\/p>\n
It is intended to provide a safe and welcoming space where people can socialise, make new friends and take part in educational, social and cultural activities.<\/p>\n
Organisers said the initiative was launched after identifying a need for greater support for people who are going through, or have previously experienced, mental health challenges, as well as those who feel socially isolated.<\/p>\n
Activities include art, music, crafts, cooking, exercise, walks, gardening and relaxation sessions, as well as outings and activities within the community.<\/p>\n
Participants will also be able to learn practical skills for everyday life and will be encouraged to take part according to their interests, abilities and pace.<\/p>\n
The service is led by Jeanette Falzon, who will support participants and encourage them to develop their skills<\/p>\n
The service is offered on Mondays and Tuesdays between 11:30am and 4:30pm, and Wednesdays and Thursdays between 7.30am and 12.30pm. To avail of the service, call Caritas on 21551723 or 79771723.<\/p>\n
