The plan maps 53 links among those areas, so an advisor can trace how delaying retirement or selling a business would affect everything else.

The firm isn’t leaving the core math to a language model. PlanLab runs deterministic calculators, meaning fixed formulas that return the same result every time, for Social Security claiming, Roth conversions, withdrawal sequencing, required minimum distributions, estate taxes and annual gifting. An AI assistant layered on top fields questions, tests scenarios and drafts recommendations, but nothing goes forward without explicit advisor review and approval.

“A financial plan shouldn’t be a static report that starts on the road to expiration the moment it’s emailed to a client,” said Toby Wade, CEO of DeepVest.

Advisors can upload an existing plan as a PDF, along with tax returns, account statements or trust documents, and the software flags relevant details and proposes updates for sign-off. Connections to CRM and custodial accounts fill in household information and holdings. A diagnostics engine checks for opportunities in areas such as tax, cash, concentrated stock positions and baseline planning, and reruns those checks nightly as meeting notes, custodial data or client documents change. Finally, a drift score shows how far a client has strayed from the last plan of record and which steps could bring them back on target.

Firms won’t have to abandon their current planning software, as the module can accept a plan from another system as a starting point. The launch is the latest step after the firm rolled out a discounted pricing offer for newly launched RIAs.

Read more: DeepVest, AdvisorCRM roll out client-focused AI updates

Docupace rebuilds its wealth operations platform around client data

Docupace, a back-office and compliance software provider based in Holmdel, N.J., has revealed a next-generation update to its wealth operations platform.

Hosted on AWS, Docupace Next 1.0 reorganizes information around reusable contact records. Data entered or synced once can then serve custodians, accounts, documents and workflows, an approach the company brands as “Capture It Once, Use It Everywhere.”

For advisors and their operations staff, that means one contact record can link to several accounts. Beneficiaries, trusted contacts and authorized individuals are stored once and reused across accounts. Documents from different work items can be combined into a single e-signature packet, so clients field fewer signing requests. Guided account opening is available for Pershing, NFS and Axos, and the platform connects to custodians and CRMs, with a public GraphQL API for developers. Supervision and surveillance tools remain part of the package.

In 2025, Docupace said its platform – which currently has 440,000 users – saw 2.8 million accounts opened, 17 million work items processed, 21.8 million data elements captured without rekeying and 198,000 hours saved on client data gathering. Over that period, it claimed its NIGO rate, which reflects the share of paperwork rejected as “not in good order” because of errors or missing information, was just 1.7%.

Docupace, which has been backed by private equity since Genstar Capital took a majority stake in the company in 2024, said the new data foundation will support agents that can work alongside advisors and operations teams.

“Customers keep the workflows and operational capabilities they rely on, and gain a more connected way to manage their data and serve their clients,” said Brian Filanowski, CEO of Docupace.

Focus Financial pick Nevis for its enterprise AI platform

Focus Financial Partners, the mega-RIA that claims over $500 billion in collective client assets across more than 6,300 team members, has announced that Nevis will serve as the AI platform for Focus Partners Wealth and its other business units.

Focus is aiming to reduce administrative work and free advisor capacity for planning and client relationships. Beyond that, the firm expects to benefit from hands-on support, with Nevis assigning dedicated deployment teams to work with Focus’ technologists and advisors on the behavior changes that new tools require.

“Their technology is purpose-built for the wealth management industry and flexible enough to support the diversity of our advisor network,” said Adam Birenbaum, who stepped up as Focus’ CEO earlier this year.

Read more: Nevis raises $35 million to eliminate advisors’ admin work – but can it really make advisors that much more productive?

Nevis says assets on its platform grew from $50 billion to $700 billion this year.
