A “fast-paced and fun” mystery drama has been climbing the Netflix charts. Unforgettable stars Poppy Montgomery as retired police detective Carrie Wells, who has a rare medical condition called hyperthymesia which gives her a photographic memory, though she struggles to remember her sister’s murder. <\/p>\n

She reluctantly joins the New York Police Department to help her former boyfriend and partner Lieutenant Al Burns (Dylan Walsh) solve a case. However, this allows her to figure out the circumstances that led to her sister’s killing. <\/p>\n

Joining Montgomery and Walsh in the cast is The Mentalist’s Michael Gaston, Breaking Bad’s Kevin Rankin, Bosch’s Daya Vaidya and Kate & Allie’s Jane Curtin. <\/p>\n

Unforgettable first premiered in September 2011. Despite being cancelled twice by CBS, A&E took it on for a fourth season before cancelling it in February 2016. <\/p>\n

However, the show has since found a new lease of life as it has reached the number five spot in the UK top 10 TV chart. <\/p>\n

Over on Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>, it doesn’t have a critics’ score, only an audience rating of 50%. A single review from New York Daily News<\/a> said: “Unforgettable is exactly what a summer show should be: fast-paced and fun.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, over on IMDb, viewers were quick to praise the show, as one person said: <\/a>“I really enjoyed this series for three seasons. Creative plots. Strong action. Unique settings. And stellar performances. “<\/p>\n

Many lamented the show’s abrupt ending, with another writing:<\/a> “How is it a fantastic show like Unforgettable, that improves every week with wonderful character development, and a superb lead actress (Poppy Montgomery as Carrie Wells) fails to stimulate the US viewer?”<\/p>\n

A third said<\/a> that the show should be “rebooted”, adding: “I can’t understand why this series would be canceled.”<\/p>\n

Unforgettable isn’t the only show doing well on the Netflix streaming charts. The Trap is a thriller that stars<\/a> Friederike Becht as Lisa Konrad, a reclusive author who is haunted by the murder of her younger sister. <\/p>\n

However, when she sees the man that she remembers seeing fleeing the scene of the crime on TV, she devises a dangerous plan to catch him. <\/p>\n
