There is \u201cno way\u201d that Racing Bulls<\/a> would drop Liam Lawson<\/a> after his eye-catching performance at the Singapore Grand Prix.<\/p>\n

That is the clear verdict issued by Sky F1 pit-lane reporter Ted Kravitz, who argues that anyone who believed Lawson was genuinely under threat from Red Bull junior Nikola Tsolov, is \u201cbonkers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Liam Lawson receives Kravitz vote of confidence<\/p>\n

Lawson<\/a> has emerged as the leader of the midfield pack in F1 2026. In combination with rookie teammate Arvid Linblad, the pair has lifted Racing Bulls to fifth in the current F1 2026 Constructors\u2019 standings.<\/p>\n

Yet, neither driver has a Racing Bulls seat secured for F1 2027 as it stands.<\/p>\n

According to team principal Alan Permane, a decision will be made \u201cin the coming weeks\u201d over which duo out of Lawson, Lindblad and Formula 2 title contender Tsolov gets the nod for next season.<\/p>\n

Lawson issues telling F1 future response as 2027 decision looms<\/a><\/p>\n

He told PlanetF1.com and other media outlets: \u201cI think everyone knows we\u2019ve got two fantastic drivers. We\u2019ve got a fantastic driver in F2 at the moment, and they\u2019re all there and ready to go.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut three doesn\u2019t fit into two, of course, and we\u2019re just going to take a little bit more time and make sure we get the the right pairing for next year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Permane also noted Racing Bulls\u2019 role as the junior team to develop talent for Red Bull.<\/p>\n

But only someone who is \u201cbonkers\u201d would expect Racing Bulls to decide on Tsolov over Lawson, according to Kravitz.<\/p>\n

The New Zealander followed P5 in the Singapore Sprint with seventh in the grand prix.<\/p>\n

Speaking during his \u2018Ted\u2019s Notebook\u2019 programme on Sky F1 after the Singapore Grand Prix, Kravitz said: \u201cWell done, Liam Lawson. What a great kid this is.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd whoever thought that he\u2019s going to lose his place to Nikola Tsolov must be bonkers, really, because there\u2019s no way they\u2019re going to get rid of Liam Lawson when he\u2019s delivering results like this.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd maybe you could argue actually that with that P7 today, Liam has guaranteed his job for 2027 and maybe beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lawson sits P9 in the F1 2026 Drivers\u2019 Championship standings<\/a> with 75 points on the board to Lindblad\u2019s 38.<\/p>\n
