Argentina is a country known for its natural beauty, soccer legends, and chainsaw-wielding president, but it probably isn\u2019t the first place you\u2019d expect a rad V8 supercar<\/a> to be developed. However, that assumption might change once you learn about a company called Valtor, the brainchild of engineer-turned-CEO Sergio Arias.<\/p>\n

He leads a small but ambitious team of designers and engineers like himself, who\u2019d previously caught people\u2019s attention with the Azor GT concept last year. Now they\u2019re back at it once again with the Eaglon, an evolution of the Azor and something that could easily be mistaken for a Ferrari<\/a> by those who don\u2019t know their automotive lore.<\/p>\n

\u2018Vette Genetics Combined With European Charm<\/p>\n

The Eaglon is said to be powered by a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8, none other than General Motors\u2019 LT2 also found in the pre-2027 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray<\/a>. Sitting right behind the driver just like it does in the C8 \u2018Vette, the engine has 495 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque at its disposal.<\/p>\n

That oomph travels to the rear wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, and it can reportedly launch the Valtor Eaglon from zero to 62 mph in just 4.2 seconds. We don\u2019t know very much else about this mysterious Argentine supercar, but the company says its construction features a mixture of steel, aluminum, and carbon fiber. As exciting as all that may sound, though, there are plenty of reasons for us to be at least somewhat skeptical for the time being.<\/p>\n

Will The Eaglon Actually Make It To Production?<\/p>\n

Remember the Devel Sixteen<\/a>? That insane, 5,000-hp hypercar from the United Arab Emirates we never actually saw in the wild with the advertised quad-turbo V16 powerplant. Well, the Eaglon sits in a similar spot at the moment, with plenty of intriguing claims but not much real-world proof to back them up. Although, truth be told, a Chevy V8 does sound more down-to-Earth than a 5,000-hp V16.<\/p>\n

Valtor wants to build a limited run of 100 units, but Arias and his crew need to secure funding before that happens. And we\u2019re honestly not even sure if they have a working prototype right now, because the one revealed a few days ago at Autocl\u00e1sica 2026 is apparently just a full-scale model. Even with the promotional video showing it on the move, we reserve our right to be weary in the age of AI trickery. Can you blame us?<\/p>\n

CarBuzz Insight \u2013 Why This Matters:<\/p>\n

Putting all our skepticism aside for a minute, though, it would indeed be very cool to see the Valtor Eaglon eventually going into production. Latin America does have a few local automakers you\u2019ve probably never heard of, but a mid-engine, LT2-powered sports car<\/a> with Ferrari looks would be something truly special.<\/p>\n

It remains to be seen whether Valtor manages to secure the necessary financial backing in order to move forward with its ambitions, as nothing is certain at this time.
