The twins described the experience as \u201crough\u201d and \u201cbrutal\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey started chanting \u2018DJ f*** off\u2019.\u201d <\/p>\n
The student union organisers of the event took to social media and said the technical issues were \u201centirely on us and not a reflection on the Katayanagi Twins\u201d.<\/p>\n
It apologised to the sisters for not removing them from the stage sooner while working to resolve the issues. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt is disappointing to have seen the booing and throwing of items from people in the crowd, and we don\u2019t condone this behaviour towards artists,\u201d the post read.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want our artists to feel safe and have a great on stage experience especially when issues are not within their control. We apologise to the Katayanagi Twins for not protecting them during their set.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere will be follow up on crowd behaviour from the event.\u201d<\/p>\n
Katayanagi Twins said this is a PSA to be nicer to DJs. <\/p>\n
\u201cBecause it\u2019s not our fault. We want you guys to have a good time, we want to have a good time.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe also feel bad we didn\u2019t get to play … we need a redemption gig.\u201d<\/p>\n
