Now the duo may be about to do it again.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bloomberg <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2026-10-19\/nscale-anthropic-in-talks-for-45-billion-cloud-computing-deal?srnd=phx-technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">reports that<\/a> the two companies are said to be on the verge of announcing yet another $45 billion compute deal, citing people familiar with the matter. Those sources cautioned that talks are still underway and that the details could change.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the deal goes through, it would be the latest in a long string of giant compute deals Anthropic has struck <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theinformation.com\/articles\/anthropic-clinched-517-billion-compute-deals-11-months\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">over the past year<\/a>. TechCrunch reached out to Nscale and Anthropic for more information and will update this story if we hear back.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The massive amount of money being sunk into AI compute deals has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/business\/markets\/nvidia-made-120-billion-profit-last-year-investors-are-worried-rcna260839\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">spooked a certain segment of investors<\/a>, who worry that companies are spending too much money for too little profit. Still, Anthropic has pressed on with such partnerships, driven by the belief that it will all pay off in the end.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both Anthropic and Nscale are also currently pursuing IPOs. Anthropic is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2026\/10\/05\/business\/anthropic-ipo-stock-market\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">still expected <\/a>to go public this year.
