Wicker stars Olivia Colman, Alexander Skarsgård, and Elizabeth Debicki attended the Los Angeles premiere of their film at the DGA Theater.

The cast and producers at the event also included Tim Headington, Justin Lothrop, Eleanor Wilson, Alex Huston Fischer, and Brad Zimmerman.

Alex Huston Fischer and Eleanor Wilson wrote and directed Wicker, based on the short story “The Wicker Husband” by Ursula Wills. The film premieres in U.S. theaters on October 23.

Wicker is an audacious comedic fable about sex, marriage, and the absurdities of social convention. The film tells the love story of an ostracized fisherwoman (Olivia Colman) who commissions a husband to be made by the local basketmaker (Peter Dinklage).

When her wicker husband (Alexander Skarsgård) proves more spectacular than she ever imagined, his soulful spirit and unique prowess awaken something inside her, setting off a wave of jealousy, fascination, and upheaval that threatens the very fabric of village life.

Wicker was brought to life through craftsmanship, including cinematography by Lol Crawley (The Brutalist), production design by Renátó Cseh (Poor Things), costumes by Tóth András Dániel and Attila Godena-Juhász, and a score by Anna Meredith (Eight Grade).

Skarsgård’s title character was realized through a fully practical suit, created by Joe Dunckley and Wētā Workshop (Avatar, The Lord of the Rings).

Wicker producers include Ed Sinclair, Tom Carver, Olivia Colman, Justin Lothrop, Brent Stiefel, Brad Zimmerman, David Michod, Andrea Cornwell, Oliver Kassman, Tim Headington, Lia Buman, Ryan Heller, Michael Bloom
