Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little<\/a> have called time on their popular afternoon radio show after nearly a decade, the duo\u2019s split yet marking another casualty in Australia\u2019s troubled radio industry.<\/p>\n

The duo announced on Wednesday that they will depart their long-time show The Hit Network\u2019s Carrie and Tommy<\/a>\u00a0at the end of the year.<\/p>\n

Radio duo Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little have called time on their radio show after nearly 10 years on the airwaves.\u00a0SCA<\/p>\n

Bickmore confirmed the news with an emotional message to listeners live on-air.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter nearly 10 years of doing this amazing show, the Carrie and Tommy show is coming to an end,\u201d the former Channel 10 personality said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’ve loved every minute of doing the show. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not every day you get to come and have a laugh and call it your job with your best mate and the funniest guy in the country, and that\u2019s what we\u2019ve got to do for the last decade.\u201d<\/p>\n

Little echoed Bickmore\u2019s sentiment and said it was \u201csad\u201d news, before claiming it was not how he \u201cwanted [the show] to end\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love this job, and I would have kept doing it for a long time,\u201d Little said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I don\u2019t always get my way, and I feel very grateful. I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity. I think we\u2019ve had an amazing job to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bickmore and Little have anchored their afternoon show since 2017, broadcasting across every capital city from 3pm to 6pm every weekday.<\/p>\n

Their Hit Network show is owned by Southern Cross Austereo and is broadcast on 2Day FM in Sydney and Fox in Melbourne.<\/p>\n

Their final show will air on December 11.<\/p>\n

The pair will depart the Hit Network radio show in December.\u00a0@carrietommyshow<\/p>\n

It is expected that replacement hosts will be announced during SCA\u2019s up-fronts on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Bickmore is rumoured to be making the leap to rival network ARN.<\/p>\n

It is believed the radio host will replace Will McMahon and Woody Whitelaw (Will & Woody), who also announced plans to exit KIIS at the end of 2026.<\/a><\/p>\n
