\n\tNicki Minaj\u2019s<\/a> MAGA pivot won\u2019t be ending anytime soon. Minaj informed the Barbz via X on Tuesday (Oct. 20) that she\u2019s \u201cnot going anywhere\u201d when it comes to her political allegiances and loyalty to President Donald Trump.<\/a><\/p>\n

\n\tTrump gushed about Minaj during an Oval Office meeting earlier this week. \u201cThere she is, my favorite. She\u2019s been with me a long time. I won\u2019t say how long,\u201d he said. Donning a splattered white-and-black dress, Minaj replied in a high-pitched tone, \u201cHi, Mr. President.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cNot going anywhere. Right where I need to be,\u201d Minaj added on X hours later. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe Queens native served as a judge for the Trump administration\u2019s small-business Million Dollar Pitch Competition,\u00a0<\/a>which had a $1 million prize on the line. She was joined by private equity fund manager Grant Cardone and Airbnb cofounder Joe Gebbia as judges for the competition.<\/p>\n

\n\tMinaj hasn\u2019t been shy about her ties to the Republican Party and praise for Donald Trump<\/a> throughout the year. The \u201cSuper Bass\u201d rapper met the president for the frist time at a Trump Accounts Summit<\/a> in January, where she labeled herself as his No. 1 fan.<\/a> <\/p>\n

\n\tThe commander in chief returned the favor while\u00a0championing Minaj<\/a>\u00a0during a presidential luncheon in July. \u201cShe\u2019s a fantastic person and she\u2019s a woman that\u2019s respected by everybody,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd she\u2019s got real talent, Nicki Minaj. Nicki, stand up, please. Such a great person and respected by everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tNicki Minaj continued her love affair with the Trump administration during a September appearance on The Ingraham Angle.<\/a> \u201cI am honored to be able to have an opportunity to work with this administration and to work with President Trump. He has inspired many people, not just me. He\u2019s fun,\u201d Minaj said.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile her Trump support has turned off some of her Barbz and collaborators, Cyndi Lauper doesn\u2019t regret working with Minaj. Lauper gave Minaj a rare sample clearance of her 1983 hit \u201cGirls Just Wanna Have Fun\u201d for Pink Friday 2\u2018s \u201cPink Friday Girls\u201d in 2023, which reached No. 82 on the Billboard Hot 100. <\/a><\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFirst of all, I don\u2019t believe in cancellation. And second of all, the fact that she did \u2018Girls Just Want to Have Fun\u2019 musically \u2014 it\u2019s a political thing anyway, babes,\u201d Lauper told The Guardian<\/a>. \u201cGirls just want to have fun. They\u2019re entitled to a joyful experience in this world. Like it or not, we\u2019re here. We\u2019re not going out in the rice fields any more. Yes, rise up and put your foot down, and she did.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe continued: \u201cI don\u2019t know what she\u2019s doing now. But I still don\u2019t think you cancel people, because otherwise there\u2019s no room for discussion.\u201d<\/p>\n
