It would also provide green roofs, renewable energy technologies and a flood-resilient design strategy.

HAUS said the building had been designed with four elevations responding to its different surroundings: the Clydeside Distillery to the east, Yorkhill Quay to the west, the River Clyde to the south and the city to the north.

The ground floor would provide commercial space fronting the river, while the proposals also prioritise walking, cycling and public transport connections.

The plans follow the submission of detailed plans for Phase 1 of Yorkhill Quay, a 526-home co-living development designed by Anomaly in July.

The Anomaly and HAUS Collective residential applications are the first to come forward following outline planning consent for Yorkhill Quay, granted in 2024, which proposes around 1,100 homes alongside leisure uses and public open space. The architects of the outline plan were Keppie Design, with OOBE as landscape architect.

Infrastructure works are already under way to prepare the site for development, including a £3.75 million package of enabling works and the construction of a 400m waterfront promenade linking the Riverside Museum with The Clydeside Distillery.

The development is being brought forward as £4 million of infrastructure works continue across the site. Peel Waters said the works began in March and are preparing the ground for the wider Glasgow Waters development.

The wider Glasgow Waters district is planned across four waterfront neighbourhoods: Yorkhill Quay, Merklands Quay, Meadowside Quay and Castlebank Quay.

Future plans for the district include Therme Scotland at Castlebank Quay, a wellbeing and leisure destination being developed by Peel Waters and Therme Group.

The HAUS proposals also include an aspiration to deliver a large-scale public art installation on the northern elevation of the building, drawing on Yorkhill Quay’s maritime heritage and its links to the Anchor Line shipping company.

If approved, the development would deliver 89 homes alongside commercial space and resident amenity areas on the Clyde waterfront.

2018 predictions: Will the profession continue to be marginalised?

The six to seven-storey mixed-use development, brought forward by Urban Pulse and Peel Waters, would provide one, two…

[31
442,498,499,500,501,156,33611,313244,313245,111,139,69
post-639037","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-arts-and-design","tag-arts","tag-arts-and-design","tag-artsanddesign","tag-artsdesign","tag-design","tag-entertainment","tag-glasgow","tag-glasgow-city-council","tag-haus-collective","tag-new-zealand","tag-newzealand","tag-nz
["GET
