Bennett\u2019s husband Kenny Wormald told the court that she had been struggling with \u201csevere mental health issues before her death,\u201d according to a statement read by assistant coroner Jyoti Gill, reported the BBC. <\/p>\n
The court heard she had told her husband she was going for a walk the morning of her death while he stayed in bed. <\/p>\n
She never returned home and was not returning calls or texts from her husband or other family members.<\/p>\n
Wormald and her father went to look for her. <\/p>\n
Following her location on Find My iPhone, Wormald was lead to her body in a rural area of Kent.<\/p>\n
He told the court that the pair \u201ctalked about everything,\u201d adding there was no sign she was going to end her life. <\/p>\n
Farewell letters written by Bennett were later found in her home, Kent and Medway Coroners\u2019 Court heard.<\/p>\n
The court heard that the singer was previously diagnosed with Fragile X Syndrome. The genetic disorder can cause anxiety, mood instability and depression, it was told.<\/p>\n
In January, months before her death, the singer did not sleep for days and was admitted to hospital under a mental health order. <\/p>\n
Gill added Bennett suffered \u201csubstantial psychological suffering\u201d ever since. <\/p>\n
The court was also told that despite being under the care of \u00a0\u201cspecial mental health services\u201d at the time, she did not believe she would get better. <\/p>\n
No alcohol or illicit drugs were found in her system when she died. <\/p>\n

Her father Richard Bennett announced his daughter\u2019s death in July. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt is with a broken heart that I share the loss of my beautiful and talented daughter, @laurenbennett, the love of my life and my pride and joy,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cLauren was an incredible person and artist: creative, talented, funny, and as humble as she was beautiful. She was deeply loved by all who knew her and made a lasting impact on countless lives through her music, her kindness, and the way she made people feel.\u201d<\/p>\n
Richard noted from a young age, it was clear she had a \u201cvery special gift\u201d and started performing professionally at 12.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He added that her achievements within the music industry are beyond anything they imagined and still \u201cmake me so proud\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He said she had previously had a reaction to a medicine, and criticised health services.<\/p>\n

\u201cMonths before her death, Lauren experienced a severe reaction to a prescribed medication. As a family, we all rallied around her and did everything we could to support her,\u201d the post continued.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have no suspicions regarding the circumstances of her death, only deep disappointment that, for five months, medical professionals and NHS services failed to treat her appropriately during her time of greatest need.<\/p>\n
\u201cLauren was deeply loved and will be missed every day for the rest of our lives. I hope she will be remembered for her remarkable achievements, her beautiful music, and the incredible person she was. <\/p>\n
\u201cHer legacy lives on through her daughter, her family, and through the music she leaves behind.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
