The acquisition expanded Armstrong\u2019s presence across Auckland, particularly on the North Shore and in South Auckland, while introducing Ford and MG to its portfolio and strengthening its representation of existing brands.<\/p>\n

The company now represents more than 25 global automotive brands across 25-plus dealerships and more than 60 brand locations, including satellite service, parts and panel centres.<\/p>\n
Armstrong\u2019s said it has 2500 vehicles in stock and more than 1000 employees.<\/p>\n
Chief executive Troy Kennedy said consumers were taking longer to decide on the type of vehicle and were researching more than ever.<\/p>\n
\u201cExpanding our network allows us to bring together an even wider range of vehicles and brands, greater specialist expertise and more convenient servicing locations, while continuing to invest in the technology, facilities and people that support our customers,\u201d Kennedy said.<\/p>\n
The acquisition also added six service centres and a trade parts operation to Armstrong\u2019s existing network.<\/p>\n

The newly acquired dealerships will begin operating under Armstrong\u2019s ownership from this week.<\/p>\n
Armstrong\u2019s was founded in Christchurch in 1993 by managing director Rick Armstrong. The company remains privately owned.<\/p>\n
Beyond its new and used vehicle retail network, Armstrong\u2019s is involved in vehicle distribution through Auto Distribution Holdings, with specialist businesses in vehicle finance, online automotive auctions, collision repair and parts and servicing.<\/p>\n
