Prime Big Deal Days FAQsWhat Is Prime Big Deal Days?

Prime Big Deal Days is essentially Amazon’s second Prime Day event, marking the start of the Christmas shopping period and a warm-up to Black Friday. Promising up to 40% off across tens of thousands of products, it’s set to be one of the biggest Amazon sales of the year.

This year’s Prime Big Deal Days will run for 48 hours, with offers expected on Amazon products like Echo smart speakers, Kindles and Fire Sticks, plus heaps more deals across consumer tech, household essentials, health and fitness products, men’s grooming, and more.

When Does Prime Big Deal Days End?

This year’s event began at 12:01 AM on Tuesday 7 October and will end at midnight on Wednesday 8 October, which gives you a 48-hour window to make use of the deals.

Is Prime Big Deal Days Exclusive to Prime Members?

To participate in Amazon’s Big Deal Days event, you’ll need a Prime membership. On top of unlocking the event’s deals and discounts, having a Prime membership also gives you access to Amazon’s other member-exclusive events and offers during Prime Day and Black Friday, plus heaps more benefits, including:

Unlimited one-day delivery at no additional cost.Same day delivery available at no extra cost in selected postcodes.30-minute early access to Lightning Deals during sales events.Access to Prime Video where you can stream thousands of movies and TV shows.Access to Amazon Prime Music, with over 100 million songs. How to Find Prime Big Deal Day Deals

Using the CamelCamelCamel web plug-in, you can view the entire price history of each product to see whether it’s been cheaper at any other time. It’s not perfect, but it should give you a good indication of a deal’s authenticity.

You should always check other sites where a product you like is stocked too. If it’s cheaper or just as cheap elsewhere, it may not be a genuine deal.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on the best deals throughout the sale, covering the best offers across the following topics and be here to guide you towards the discounts worthy of your time.

Is Prime Big Deal Days a Good Time to Shop?

In a word: yes. If you’ve been eyeing up a new smartwatch, electric shaver or pair of noise-cancelling headphones, Amazons’s October Prime Day sale is one of the best times of the year to pull the trigger. Amazon’s mega sales event rivals Black Friday for the depth and variety of deals, with thousands of tech, grooming and fitness essentials heavily discounted.

But here’s the kicker: it pays to be prepared. Like the main event, October Prime Day moves fast, and the best offers often sell out within hours. That means it’s smart to make a list of what you actually need (or want) in advance. Otherwise, the algorithm-fuelled temptation of impulse buys can hit hard.

October Prime Day is also a top time to invest in big-ticket items that rarely go on sale. Think: adjustable dumbbells, massage guns, wearable tech or smart kitchen gear to help you eat cleaner and train harder.
