Dylan Efron<\/a> may have skipped the High School Musical<\/a> moment everyone was expecting during Disney Night on Dancing With the Stars<\/a>, but fans shouldn\u2019t lose hope \u2014 the 33-year-old contestant hinted that a special tribute could be just around the corner.<\/p>\n

During the October 7 episode, Dylan and his pro partner Daniella Karagach<\/a> performed a lively Quickstep to the Cars theme song \u201cLife Is a Highway.\u201d But the real buzz came moments later, when host Julianne Hough<\/a> confronted him about the one thing fans had been wondering all night: why he didn\u2019t choose a song from the movie that launched his brother Zac Efron<\/a>\u2019s career.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone thought you were gonna do High School Musical tonight,\u201d Julianne said as the duo waited for their scores.<\/p>\n

\u201cI couldn\u2019t \u2013 yeah, I have something special for next week, if I\u2019m still here,\u201d Dylan revealed. His partner\u2019s reaction said it all \u2014 Daniella whipped her head around in surprise, clearly shocked he\u2019d let that slip.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh! Good to know!\u201d Julianne, 37, added with a laugh, as Daniella looked eager to keep Dylan from revealing more.<\/p>\n

Naturally, fans immediately began speculating about what the \u201csomething special\u201d could be. Many are convinced a tribute to Zac \u2014 or even a cameo \u2014 is on the way.<\/p>\n

One fan theorized on X, \u201cUhmmmm, is Dylan Efron trying to say that they\u2019re going to do a dance to \u2018Can I Have This Dance\u2019?!??,\u201d referencing the romantic number from High School Musical 3. Another wrote, \u201cif dylan efron is dedicating a dance to zac next week yall better NOT kick him off this week #DWTS.\u201d<\/p>\n

The idea isn\u2019t far-fetched \u2014 Dylan has already teased that his family members would be making an appearance in the ballroom. He previously told People that their mom\u2019s \u201cdream\u201d was for Zac to compete on Dancing With the Stars \u201c20 years ago,\u201d and he\u2019s thrilled to have their family cheering him on.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m really excited for my mom to be there,\u201d Dylan shared of mom Starla Baskett. \u201cBut also, my dad and my little brother and little sister. It\u2019s gonna make me tear up to see them in the stands.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for what exactly he has planned? We\u2019ll have to wait until Week 5 to find out.<\/p>\n

Dancing With the Stars airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+.<\/p>\n
