The initial sales results of Xiaomi<\/a>\u2019s new 17-series<\/a> smartphones<\/a> have \u201cexceeded expectations\u201d so far, according to company founder, chairman and CEO Lei Jun<\/a> in a Tuesday post on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo<\/a>.In a separate Weibo post on Tuesday, Xiaomi\u2019s smartphone business president, Lu Weibing<\/a>, apologised for the \u201cinsufficient stock\u201d of the company\u2019s new flagship handset in the market, which has inconvenienced buyers.
