The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA<\/a>) in New York and Mattel Creations join forces in their first capsule collection that translates seven of MoMA\u2019s most iconic artworks into collectible versions of Mattel\u2019s most recognizable toys<\/a>. Launching in November 2025, the project spans from a Barbie<\/a> wearing a dress inspired by Van Gogh\u2019s Starry Night to Hot Wheels<\/a> die-cast cars<\/a> modeled after the Jaguar E-Type and Citro\u00ebn<\/a> DS, and a Magic 8 Ball reimagined through Alma Woodsey Thomas\u2019s abstract compositions.<\/p>\n

The inaugural capsule, available beginning November 11th, 2025, at MoMA Design Stores in New York and Japan, online<\/a>, and on Mattel Creations<\/a>, translates seminal works from MoMA\u2019s collection into playful reinterpretations across seven products.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

These include Barbie x Vincent van Gogh, a collectible doll dressed in a gown echoing The Starry Night\u2019s swirling skies; Hot Wheels x Jaguar E-Type Roadster and Hot Wheels x Citro\u00ebn DS 23 Sedan, die-cast tributes to MoMA\u2019s celebrated automotive icons; and UNO Canvas x MoMA, a special edition of the classic card game featuring works by Sonia Delaunay, Henri Matisse, Piet Mondrian, Claude Monet, Liubov Popova, and Van Gogh, each aligned with UNO\u2019s signature colors. The collection also features Magic 8 Ball x Alma Woodsey Thomas, a reimagined orb that answers questions with phrases drawn from Thomas\u2019s radiant palette; and Little People Collector x Salvador Dal\u00ed and Little People Collector x Claude Monet, figure sets that fuse each artist with their most recognizable imagery.<\/p>\n
