Christian Horner developed a reputation at Red Bull Racing for making more driver switches than many of his rivals.<\/p>\n

Since being promoted into a Red Bull<\/a> seat in 2016, Max Verstappen<\/a> has had six different teammates.<\/p>\n

Yuki Tsunoda is the latest incumbent on the other side of the garage, although it appears as though Red Bull are going to promote Isack Hadjar next season<\/a>, adding another new driver to Verstappen\u2019s tally of fallen teammates.<\/p>\n

That decision will have nothing to do with Christian Horner<\/a>, although Horner was eyeing up promoting Hadjar<\/a> before he was dismissed after the British Grand Prix.<\/p>\n

The 51-year-old only wants to work with the best and made a point of hiring David Coulthard during Red Bull\u2019s first season on the grid, relying on his experience to get the team off the ground.<\/p>\n

Horner has been linked with plenty of teams since his Red Bull exit, and one name that keeps cropping up is Aston Martin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, journalists Ben Hunt and Rebecca Clancy don\u2019t believe Horner would \u2018tolerate\u2019 working with Lance Stroll<\/a> as one of his drivers.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the Inside the Piranha Club Podcast, Hunt and Clancy were talking about Horner\u2019s future.<\/p>\n

Hunt explained: \u201cLooking at what\u2019s available at the moment, I wouldn\u2019t say that there are many appetising choices for him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that Aston Martin would be very difficult for him to come in.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that there\u2019s sort of water under the bridge already with that [between Horner and Newey], and they went to the Oasis concert together.<\/p>\n

\u201cI firmly believe that those two could still work together in some capacity.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just think that they needed a break. But I could see him potentially working with Adrian.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think the issue there is Lawrence and how would Lawrence Stroll take to Horner being there and Horner saying, \u2018How am I going to work here if I\u2019ve got to fire your son?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Clancy replied: \u201cYeah. Well, that\u2019s what I was going to say. Horner would not tolerate Lance Stroll.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hunt concluded: \u201cThat wouldn\u2019t work. So, that\u2019s ruled out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adrian Newey being \u2018pulled into\u2019 working on Aston Martin\u2019s 2025 F1 car as \u2018big mess\u2019 continues<\/p>\n

Adrian Newey<\/a> is going to play a key role in Aston Martin\u2019s fortunes next year, having joined from Red Bull earlier in the season.<\/p>\n

For what it\u2019s worth, Newey has been surprised by Stroll behind the scenes<\/a>, and he was only overtaken by Fernando Alonso in the drivers\u2019 championship<\/a> in Singapore.<\/p>\n

This season has been a struggle for Lawrence Stroll\u2019s team, and discussing Newey\u2019s role, Hunt explained: \u201cI mean, it\u2019s been a mess all season, pretty much like the Ferrari scenario.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that there\u2019s definitely something going on at Aston Martin now.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a bit of a problem, Adrian Newey, yes, he\u2019s working on that 2026 car, but I think that ultimately he\u2019s being pulled into this quickly.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need something to help us because this year\u2019s just not gone to plan, again. <\/p>\n

\u201cI think Alonso, despite his talent, is also struggling. The car\u2019s not right, it\u2019s not made the progress that they had hoped.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I think the other element as well is the way that team is managed and run by Lawrence Stroll, it makes it very difficult.<\/p>\n

\u201cAdrian Newey has always had freedom to design and sort of go about his business without ever being hauled in front of the main boss to explain his workings, if you like.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhereas that may be a slightly different scenario and proposition at Aston Martin, where we know that Lawrence is definitely on it and wants results and is paying for results, and he\u2019s just not getting them at the moment.\u201d<\/p>\n

Horner being linked with Aston Martin has concerned some staff<\/a>, and team principal Andy Cowell<\/a> played down reports that they could end up working together.<\/p>\n
