\n\tITV Studios<\/a> Adds \u2018Solitary\u2019 to Catalogue, Debuts \u2018Una Fiesta de Muerte\u2019 in Spain<\/p>\n

ITV Studios has acquired production rights to \u201cSolitary,\u201d the controversial reality game show created by Lincoln Hiatt and Andrew Golder that was No. 1 on Fox Reality Channel.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn \u201cSolitary,\u201d contestants are confined to isolation pods with no sense of day or night, no human contact, and no alliances. Guided only by Val, an ever-present computer entity, they face relentless physical and mental challenges until the last one standing claims the prize \u2014 the only rule: don\u2019t quit first.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe format has previously traveled to Germany (ProSieben) and Brazil (SBT).<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201c\u2018Solitary\u2019 is an audacious format that still feels incredibly fresh today,\u201d said. \u201cMike Beale, managing director of Creative Network, ITV Studios. \u201cWith its arcing competition, it can work for both linear and streaming services.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMeanwhile, murder mystery format \u201cA Party To Die For\u201d is headed to Spain for the first time under the local title \u201cUna Fiesta de Muerte.\u201d The show will be produced by ITV Studios Iberia for Atresmedia, marking the third local adaptation after successful launches in France and the Netherlands. The Spanish edition will debut next year.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn \u201cA Party To Die For,\u201d by ITV Studios Netherlands and Talpa Studios, celebrities are invited to a glamorous party, only to find that one of them has been \u201cmurdered\u201d before the event begins. The remaining guests must use their detective skills to solve the mystery. Viewers can also play along at home via a dedicated app.<\/p>\n

\n\tCreated in the U.K. and produced by ITV Studios\u2019 Multistory Media, \u201cCome Dine With Me\u201d is marking its 50th territory with the launch of \u201cCome Dine With Me Africa,\u201d now airing on Canal+Magic and produced by Mediawan Group\u2019s 909 Productions.<\/p>\n

\n\tCurrently celebrating its 20th anniversary, the format has spawned new adaptations, including the \u201cCome Dine With Me Teens,\u201dproduced by Multistory Media for Channel 4 in the U.K.<\/p>\n

\n\tHit U.K. quiz format \u201cThe Chase\u201d is traveling to New Zealand, marking its 22nd territory. The local adaptation will be produced by ITV Studios Australia and is scheduled to premiere on November 3 on TVNZ 1 and TVNZ+.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Chase\u201d was created and produced by ITV Studios\u2019 Potato.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn Brazil, Globoplay has recommissioned relationship format\u00a0\u201cMy Mum Your Dad\u201d\u00a0for a second season. The show, produced by Formata, follows single parents on their journey of finding love, with the secret involvement of their grown-up children.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe original U.S. format was produced by ITV America\u2019s ITV Entertainment in association with Rombola Entertainment for HBO Max with executive producers Greg Daniels and Haley Daniels.<\/p>\n

\n\tWBITVP Strikes Global Deals for Unscripted Formats, \u201cFBoy Island,\u201d \u201cReality Queens of the Jungle, \u201cCash or Trash\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWarner Bros. International Television Production<\/a> (WBITVP) has inked a series of format deals across its unscripted catalogue, spanning reality, factual entertainment and dating.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn India, Discovery Communications commissioned \u201cFBoy Island,\u201dto be called \u201cFBoy Survival,\u201d for both Discovery Channel and the D+ platform. Produced by Fox6 Media, the series will launch in February. The Indian version blends adventure-survival with the reality dating genre.<\/p>\n

\n\tCreated by STX Entertainment and The Year of Elan for HBO Max in the U.S., \u201cFBoy Island\u201d has built a strong international footprint, with local versions produced in Australia, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Sweden. The format has also inspired spin-off \u201cFGirl Island\u201d for The CW in the U.S.<\/p>\n

\n\tDiscovery India has also ordered a second season of \u201cReality Queens of the Jungle.\u201d Known locally as \u201cReality Ranis of the Jungle\u201d and produced by Endemol India, the series has been a local success on both Discovery Channel and D+. Created by WBITVP Netherlands, the format has been produced in eight territories, including Poland and Germany, and has run for six seasons in the Netherlands for RTL5\/Videoland. This year\u2019s new addition to the franchise, \u201cReality Kings on Safari,\u201d is launching at Mipcom<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFBoy Island\u201dhas also been commissioned in Germany, with a nine-part series produced by WBITVP Germany set to debut later this month on Amazon Prime Video.<\/p>\n

\n\tAdditionally, ZDF\u2019s \u201cCash or Trash\u201d has been licensed in Croatia and Serbia, where Croatian national broadcaster Nova TV will produce a 20-episode run and a 60-episode series, respectively, marking its 12th and 13th local versions. In the format, a panel of expert dealers attempt to outbid each other to buy antiques, heirlooms, keepsakes and other items brought in by members of the public.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe original German version has aired more than 1,000 episodes, with over 8,000 produced globally.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe format is known as \u201cThe Bidding Room\u201d in the U.K., where its seventh series recently aired on BBC One. It also saw an eight-season run on France2 via WBITVP France.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tAnother WBITVP format, \u201cInside Therapy,\u201d has been commissioned by France T\u00e9l\u00e9visions. The broadcaster has ordered a five-part series known as \u201cRendez-vous Chez le Psy.\u201d Produced by WBITVP France, the series is accompanied by a wide-reaching social and digital campaign, including podcast episodes and Q&As with therapists answering questions from the public.
