A young man received “critical, life threatening injuries” after being allegedly assaulted by several people at a home in the Hamilton suburb of Fairview Downs last night.<\/p>\n
Police received a report of a “serious incident” that occurred on Northolt Rd at around 9.25pm on Monday.<\/p>\n
“A young man, who was attacked at a residential address by several people, has received critical, life-threatening injuries during the incident,” a police spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
“He is currently undergoing surgery and remains in a serious condition.”<\/p>\n
There would be an increased police presence as inquiries and scene examinations were completed, police said.<\/p>\n
“Hamilton Police are currently following strong lines of inquiry to locate the persons responsible.”<\/p>\n
Anyone with relevant information, or who has footage or witnessed the incident, should contact police on 105.<\/p>\n
