Scott Hoying<\/a>‘s family is getting a little bigger!\n<\/p>\n The Pentatonix singer, 34, and his husband Mark Manio,<\/a> also 34, are expecting their first baby together. The couple celebrated the exciting news on Instagram<\/a>, Tuesday, Oct. 14. In the video, which is set to Sydney Rose’s “Turning Page,” the soon-to-be dads share their initial reaction to hearing the happy news.\n<\/p>\n “We\u2019re having a baby \ud83e\udd79\ud83e\udd0d” Scott captioned the video.\n<\/p>\n The couple also revealed the news of their impending addition during the Oct. 14 episode of Dancing with the Stars<\/a>. Scott, who is competing on season 34 of the hit series, dedicated this week’s dance to his husband. He explained that after dating “mean guys,” when he met Mark, Scott felt like he could “exhale.”\n<\/p>\n \u201cI want to dedicate it to my husband Mark, because I feel like he\u2019s just changed my life in so many ways,\u201d Scott told\u00a0Extra TV<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m so in love and we just celebrated our two-year wedding anniversary. I\u2019ve written so many songs about him and so I really just wanted to dance to a song and have him there.\u201d\n<\/p>\n During practice, the couple surprised Scott’s dance partner Rylee Arnold with the news that they’re expecting a baby.\n<\/p>\n “I’m so excited to raise a family with him,” Scott said. “I just feel like we’re really, really lucky.”\n<\/p>\n In June, the couple spoke with PEOPLE at the Kids’ Choice Awards, and shared that they had begun the process of having a baby together. “We’re getting closer,” Mark told PEOPLE at the time. “We finally have a surrogate, so we’re closer.”\n<\/p>\n “And we’re becoming friends,” Scott said of their surrogate. “But then there’s all sorts of stuff that has to happen before the surrogate.”\n<\/p>\n “But next summer, we’ll have a baby for sure,” Mark added.\n<\/p>\n Scott went on to explain the process the couple had undergone to welcome a bundle of joy.\n<\/p>\n “We used an agency. And we wanted to have our surrogate in L.A., because we want to go to every single appointment,” he said at the time. “And so the wait list was a lot longer for L.A. But it was worth it. We found something. Scott said that they would “talk every day about starting a big ol’ family.”\n<\/p>\n “Getting married to each other means everything. I think we, like so many queer people growing up, wonder if they\u2019ll ever even come out, and if they’ll ever find love, and for some of us, if gay marriage would ever be legal. The fact that all of those obstacles ended up working out in the end is a really beautiful thing and only makes us cherish each other more,” he said.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n He continued: “What I love about Mark is that he is the most loving, gentle, genuinely kind ray of sunshine that you\u2019ll ever meet\u2014always! It’s like a superpower. He just loves life, loves people, loves every single part of me. I just know he is going to be the most amazing father in the world to our children.”<\/p>\n
