{"id":81569,"date":"2025-10-16T06:07:09","date_gmt":"2025-10-16T06:07:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/81569\/"},"modified":"2025-10-16T06:07:09","modified_gmt":"2025-10-16T06:07:09","slug":"grabone-goes-into-liquidation-otago-daily-times-online-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/81569\/","title":{"rendered":"GrabOne goes into liquidation | Otago Daily Times Online News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rnz.co.nz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">By Susan Edmunds of RNZ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>GrabOne has gone into liquidation.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel Stoneman and Neale Jackson of Calibre Partners said on Thursday they had been appointed liquidators of Global Marketplace New Zealand, which operates GrabOne in this country.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Due to funding constraints, the business has ceased trading and the liquidators are immediately commencing a sales process for the company&#8217;s business and assets.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As a result, the company will not be promoting any existing or future deals whilst in liquidation,&#8221; they said in a notice on the website.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For consumers who hold unredeemed vouchers, the company is unable to provide refunds. Consumers will need to take steps themselves &#8211; including contacting individual merchants &#8211; to assess how unredeemed vouchers will be treated.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For the avoidance of doubt, the liquidators do not adopt any agreement you had with the company personally or otherwise, and the agreement remains between you and the company.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>GrabOne was launched in 2010 and offered discounts on goods and services for local businesses.<\/p>\n<p>It was sold to Global Marketplace New Zealand by former owner NZME in 2021, for $17.5 million.<\/p>\n<p>&#8230; More to come<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"By Susan Edmunds of RNZ GrabOne has gone into liquidation.
