Presented in late 2024, the Independence Skeleton Chrono 42mm<\/a> marked a significant milestone for Swiss brand Norqain<\/a>, particularly with its new, exclusive 8k flyback chronograph calibre developed in partnership with AMT Manufacture. The young, independent, family-owned watch brand now introduces a new version of the model in bold orange and a stainless steel case.<\/p>\n

The new version of the Independence Skeleton Chrono introduces a striking orange colour scheme that brings a fresh, energetic twist to the model. The vibrant colour highlights key details on the skeletonised dial and strap, offering a dynamic contrast and enhancing the sense of depth.<\/p>\n

Besides the new orange touches, this new version retains all the hallmark features of the original model \u2013 the 42mm asymmetric Independence case<\/a> comes in brushed and polished steel. It is water-resistant to 100m thanks to the screw-down crown and caseback. The plate affixed to the left flank can be personalised.<\/p>\n

The Norqain Independence Skeleton Chrono is powered by the 8k automatic column-wheel flyback chronograph calibre<\/a>. This skeletonised movement has been developed in partnership with Manufacture AMT, a sister company of Sellita<\/a>, with whom brands searching for something more advanced than off-the-shelf movements can develop higher-end, personalised calibres. The Calibre 8k is derived from an SW500 base, which has been extensively reworked into a Norqain open-worked version with a column-wheel command. It is also a flyback chronograph, so it can be returned to zero and restarted instantly with only a single push of a button, without the need to press pushers three times in succession to stop, reset and start the chronograph. It runs at a 4Hz frequency and boasts a 62-hour power reserve. The precision of each movement is attested by a COSC Chronometer certificate.<\/p>\n

The Norqain Independence Skeleton Chrono 42mm Orange is available with either an integrated 4-link stainless steel bracelet featuring a folding buckle and micro-adjustment, or an orange textured rubber strap with a pin buckle. The price is set at\u00a0EUR 5,900\u00a0for the rubber strap and\u00a0EUR 6,150 for the\u00a0steel bracelet.<\/p>\n
