A new rumor regarding Avengers: Doomsday<\/a> and Avengers: Secret Wars<\/a> has emerged online.<\/p>\n

Marvel Studios<\/a>\u2019 Avengers: Doomsday has wrapped production. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, also known as the Russo Brothers, it arrives next year. The sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, then follows in 2027.<\/p>\n

What is the latest Avengers rumor?<\/p>\n

According to scooper James Mack<\/a>, Teyonah Parris, Lashana Lynch, Kelsey Grammer, Patrick Stewart, and another unnamed X-Men<\/a> actor who will have a \u201csurprise\/special appearance\u201d are going to film the continuation of the post-credit scene featured in 2023\u2019s The Marvels<\/a> at some point in the next few weeks.<\/p>\n

This is only a rumor at this time and should be treated as such. While it\u2019s likely that the post-credit scene of The Marvels will be expanded on in some way, there\u2019s been no official announcement regarding a surprise X-Men character\u2019s presence in either of the upcoming Avengers movies from Marvel<\/a>. Furthermore, whether or not Lynch and Parris actually appear in Avengers: Doomsday is unclear at this time, as their names were not included in the initial casting announcement.<\/p>\n

It is known that Grammer and Stewart will both return as Beast and Professor X in Avengers: Doomsday, however, while the cast of the movie also includes Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier, Letitia Wright as Black Panther, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent, Tenoch Huerta Mej\u00eda as Namor, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Lewis Pullman as Sentry, Danny Ramirez as Falcon, Joseph Quinn as Human Torch, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Winston Duke as M\u2019Baku, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijnn as Mystique, James Marsden as Cyclops, Channing Tatum as Gambit, Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic, and Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.<\/p>\n

Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters on December 18, 2026, as part of Phase 6 of the MCU<\/a>.
