Last year, Sofia opened up about her first pregnancy, admitting she was \u201cabsolutely terrified\u201d when she started having contractions six weeks before giving birth.<\/p>\n
Speaking on the She MD podcast, she said: \u201cI\u2019m actually really excited to be here with you guys today just because now that I have my child, I\u2019m like, I feel like people really don\u2019t talk about all the things that go wrong and all the things after you give birth that are so hard.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt 32 weeks I woke up and I was like, \u2018Hey, I woke up and I\u2019m really tired today. My back really hurts. I feel a little crampy.\u2019 And I really thought it was going to be another one of those, \u2018Yeah, babe, that\u2019s pregnancy. You\u2019re going to be fine, but you can come in if you want me to check you\u2019 type situations.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe was like, \u2018You know what? Actually, I think you should go see the foetal specialist to monitor, to make sure that everything\u2019s okay, and then you\u2019ll go home. It\u2019s not a big deal.<\/p>\n
\u201cThank God she said that… because they hooked me up to the monitor and they were like, \u2018You\u2019re in active labour\u2019. I was really terrified.\u201d<\/p>\n
Subsequently, Sofia was in hospital for six days before she \u201cbegged\u201d to be sent home.<\/p>\n
She was allowed home but was put on bed rest.<\/p>\n
Sofia said: \u201cI was begging. I was like, \u2018Please, please let me go home.\u2019 And she was like, \u2018You can go home, but you\u2019re on bed rest. We have to monitor you.\u2019<\/p>\n
