Mahabubnagar: Kondaiah spent over two decades shaping young minds as a Secondary Grade Teacher<\/a> at the Government Primary School in Salkarpet. But in the final chapter of his life, it wasn\u2019t the classroom that defined him but rather a quiet, heartbreaking struggle against a system that failed him when he needed it most.<\/p>\n

After retiring in September 2024, Kondaiah of Komreddypally in Gandeed mandal waited patiently for his retirement benefits. As his health began to deteriorate due to a lung infection, his family admitted him to a private hospital in Mahabubnagar. But the mounting medical bills weighed heavily on him.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe hoped our father would return home healthy,\u201d said his son Raju, a private employee. \u201cBut he was more worried about the cost of treatment than his illness.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite appeals through former colleagues and direct requests to senior officials, the retirement benefits<\/a> were not released. It wasn\u2019t until local media highlighted his plight that a portion of his retirement benefits were deposited, just a day before he passed away.<\/p>\n

\u201cHad the government acted sooner, we could have given him better care.
