Home and Away has released some first-look images of the long-awaited return of Darryl ‘Brax’ Braxton and Ricky Sharpe as filming has officially commenced in Western Australia for the first time in the soap’s 38-year history.<\/p>\n

The show previously announced that the “ambitious, high-stakes” storyline will take place across Perth, the coastline and the vast red Outback, and feature Western Australia at the heart of the plot (although the plot details are still being kept tightly under wraps).<\/p>\n

In the new images, we see Stephen Peacocke<\/a> and Bonnie Sveen standing out in the sandy wilds, while both wearing hats.<\/p>\n

The last time we saw Brax and Ricky was back in 2016<\/a> when they drove off into the sunset with their son Casey<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With their return, fans will finally be able to see what one of the soap’s most iconic couples<\/a> have been up to for the last 10 years.<\/p>\n

“I’ll always be grateful to Home and Away for being the launchpad to my career, and I’ve got a sincere appreciation for the fans who’ve followed my work since,” Peacocke said previously.<\/p>\n

“When the producers asked if I’d revisit Brax, it felt like a fun opportunity \u2013 and one I think the audience will really enjoy. Filming in spectacular outback Western Australia is the icing on the cake.”<\/p>\n

Sveen added: “Bringing Ricky back wasn’t something I’d ever expected, so I’m beyond thrilled to reunite with Steve and old friends at Home and Away. Exploring where Ricky and Brax are now, 10 years on, will make for a very special and compelling storyline.”<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, the soap actually announced a competition for some lucky UK fans<\/a> to win a holiday and see behind-the-scenes of Home and Away on its temporary Western Australia set. Though at the time of the competition launch, the characters involved in this move to Western Australia were not known. <\/p>\n

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5, with repeat screenings at 6pm on 5STAR and first-look screenings at 6.30pm on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video<\/a> in the UK.<\/p>\n

In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 and streams on 7Plus.<\/p>\n
