For starters, there\u2019s a brand-new psychological thriller, The Ridge<\/a>, which has been described as \u201can unmissable, world-class drama” \u2013 and we can confirm it\u2019s something very special indeed. We\u2019ve also got a date with the \u201chot rabbi\u201d as Netflix megahit Nobody Wants This finally returns – and our Line of Duty replacement is officially here! So, stop scrolling, because these are the only 7 shows you need to watch this week. <\/p>\n

Oh, how we do love a Harlan Coben thriller<\/a>. This mind-bending new series is unlike Harlan’s previous dramas, as it\u2019s the first original idea from the author. The series follows a man (played by Sam Claflin) who returns home after his father’s death and begins to have disturbing experiences that he can\u2019t explain. He quickly becomes entangled in a series of cold-case murders, all the while grappling with the mystery of his father’s death and his sister’s murder 25 years ago. Expect more twist-filled brilliance. Arriving on Prime Video<\/a> on Wednesday 22nd October.<\/p>\n

Buckle up for this psychological thriller, which has been described by the team behind it as \u201can unmissable, world-class drama”. At the centre of it is Mia (Lauren Lyle) who\u2019s trying to escape addiction and a ruined career in Scotland, when she accepts an invitation to her estranged sister, Cassy’s wedding in New Zealand. When she gets there however, she finds learns her sister has died, having fallen from a mountain ridge – or so she’s told. Believing Cassy was pushed and murdered, Mia sets about hunting for the killer. Arriving on BBC Scotland<\/a> and BBC iPlayer on Tuesday 21st October. While the painfully long wait for a new series of Line of Duty<\/a> continues, Vicky McClure\u2019s other brilliant drama is here to keep us all going. If you\u2019re not familiar, the series, which is returning for its third instalment, follows Lana Washington (McClure), a Metropolitan Police explosives officer who, along with her team, dedicates herself to keeping the capital safe from explosive devices and terrorist threats. The six new episodes will see them investigate a bomb threat that soon reveals itself to be the start of a sinister vendetta \u2013 and it\u2019s set to be as explosive (excuse the pun) as ever. Series 3 is arriving on ITV1 and ITVX<\/a> on Sunday 26th October.

Yellowstone<\/a> creator Taylor Sheridan is behind this brilliant crime thriller, which is returning for its fourth instalment. If you\u2019re new to it, the popular series follows the McLusky family – power brokers in Kingstown, Michigan, where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry. Led by Mike (Jeremy Renner), who takes over as the town’s “mayor” after his older brother, Mitch, dies, series 4 sees his control over Kingstown threatened as new players compete to fill the power vacuum left in the Russians’ wake. Meanwhile, those he loves are in more danger than ever before. Series 4 is arriving on Paramount+<\/a> on Sunday 26th October. <\/p>\n

If you enjoy a good cat and mouse drama, this one\u2019s for you. The U&Alibi series revolves around a prison hidden deep within the Wyoming countryside called “The Pit”. It’s a highly classified prison that holds some of the US\u2019s worst serial killers. When an explosion occurs and the most sadistic and violent members of society are suddenly set free, a team of investigators including Rebecca \u201cBex\u201d Henderson (Melissa Roxburgh) assembles to track them down. The biggest challenge? The top-secret prison isn\u2019t even meant to exist\u2026 Arriving on U&Alibi<\/a> on Wednesday 22nd October.<\/p>\n

Netflix<\/p>\n

Yes, we want this! Netflix\u2019s will-they-wont-they romantic comedy series, which focuses on the romance between two mismatched characters – \u201chot Rabbi\u201d Noah (Adam Brody) and sex & relationships podcaster Joanne (Kristen Bell) – is finally back! The romantic cliffhanger ending of series one saw Noah and Joanne decide to continue their relationship, despite lingering questions over whether Joanne would convert to Judaism. And we\u2019re deeply invested in what comes next for the couple. Series 2 is arriving on Netflix<\/a> on Thursday 23rd October. <\/p>\n

The Forsytes \"the<\/p>\n

Calling all period drama<\/a> fans, Poldark creator Debbie Horsfield has been busy working on a lavish six-part adaptation of John Galsworthy\u2019s epic novel series, The Forsyte Saga – and it\u2019s finally arriving on Channel 5. The new reimagining reunites us with four generations of the upper-class stockbroker family, the Forsytes, who live a somewhat privileged life in 1880s London. Starring the likes of Eleanor Tomlinson, Francesca Annis and Susan Hampshire, Debbie has described it as “a love letter to the original story while offering an exciting new perspective” – and we can confirm, there\u2019s plenty of drama in store! Arriving on Channel 5<\/a> on Monday 20th October. <\/p>\n
