{"id":89144,"date":"2025-10-20T02:19:06","date_gmt":"2025-10-20T02:19:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/89144\/"},"modified":"2025-10-20T02:19:06","modified_gmt":"2025-10-20T02:19:06","slug":"revolutionary-chinese-chip-to-pioneer-search-for-dark-matter-black-holes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/89144\/","title":{"rendered":"Revolutionary Chinese chip to pioneer search for dark matter, black holes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BEIJING &#8212; A Chinese research team from Tsinghua University has unveiled a revolutionary spectroscopic imaging chip, RAFAEL, that could transform how humanity observes the universe.<\/p>\n<p>Published in Nature this week, the breakthrough resolves the long-standing trade-off between spectral resolution and throughput\/efficiency, enabling high-performance yet easily integrable snapshot spectroscopy.<\/p>\n<p>Spectroscopy is a fundamental tool for revealing the physical structures and chemical compositions of matter, underpinning discoveries across physics, chemistry, astronomy and life sciences.<\/p>\n<p>However, traditional instruments have long faced an inherent challenge in achieving both ultra-high resolution and high throughput.
