A 19-year-old man has been summonsed to court over a fatal crash near Te K\u016biti in July that killed a young mother. <\/p>\n
Emergency services were called to State Highway 3 in Te Mapara on July 11 2025 at 11pm after a two-vehicle crash involving a vehicle that was towing a boat.<\/p>\n
According to RNZ, New Plymouth 23-year-old Nateisha-Kurstyn Hana-Wetere was in the car with her three-year-old son when the boat and trailer detached from the vehicle \u2013 striking the car. <\/p>\n
Hana-Wetere died in the crash, while others were injured. <\/p>\n
Today, police said a 19-year-old has been charged with dangerous driving causing death.<\/p>\n
He was summonsed to appear in the Te K\u016biti District Court on November 3. <\/p>\n
