Savannah Guthrie<\/a> is reflecting on one of her most embarrassing moments on the Today<\/a> show.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 53-year-old anchor was asked to share her biggest on-air faux pas as part of a conversation with Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen<\/a> and her fellow Today cohosts Carson Daly<\/a> and Craig Melvin on Monday\u2019s episode.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI asked\u00a0Khlo\u00e9 Kardashian<\/a>, like, 10 seconds before we were going to break about the rumors that her father wasn\u2019t her father,\u201d Guthrie explained, referring to her 2012 interview with the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star<\/a> in which the interviewer pressed Kardashian about speculation that she wasn’t really related to the late Robert Kardashian<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Even Cohen agreed that it wasn\u2019t the most thoughtful question. \u201cThat was so bad,\u201d he said. \u201cThat was so bad.\u201d<\/p>\n

Guthrie confessed that she was “so embarrassed” to have to ask about the rumors at all, but that she was still new at the time and didn’t want to rock the boat.<\/p>\n

\u201cI felt all this pressure,\u201d she admitted. \u201cI\u2019d just started, and I felt like the producers wanted me to ask this dishy question, but I didn\u2019t want to.\u201d<\/p>\n

So, she tried to hold off asking the question until their interview was nearly over. \u201cAt the very end, we were like, \u2018And Khlo\u00e9, what about this rumor that Robert Kardashian\u2019s not really your father?\u2019\u201d she recalled. \u201cAnd they were like, \u201810, nine, eight\u2026\u2019 and I was so embarrassed.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Thankfully, Guthrie explained that Kardashian wasn\u2019t fazed by the ask. \u201cShe was such a class act. She was like, \u2018Ah, nothing to it,\u2019\u201d she said. \u201cWe made the break. I asked the question. I didn\u2019t want to. Khlo\u00e9 was a total class act and a doll.\u201d<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time that Guthrie has publicly cringed over having to ask the question. She similarly shared the story during a SiriusXM\u00a0Today\u00a0Show Radio<\/a> town hall\u00a0with Cohen and Melvin in February.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe saved my butt,\u201d Guthrie said of Kardashian at the time.<\/p>\n

During their 2012 interview, Guthrie awkwardly posed the question to Kardashian just as an audio cue to wrap the segment began to play.<\/p>\n

\u201cVery quickly, speaking of rumors. Actually, I think we’re out of time,\u201d she said in response to the music. \u201cI was gonna ask: nothing more to say about what people said about who your father, your biological father?”<\/p>\n

To which a laughing Kardashian responded, \u201cI don’t know who my daddy is, I guess! I don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n
