The Commission has launched a \u20ac180 million sovereign cloud call for tenders, aiming to steer the market \u201ctowards compliance with EU standards and values\u201d, a Commission spokesperson told Euractiv in an email on 21 October.<\/p>\n
The tender, published<\/a> a day earlier by the Commission\u2019s IT department DG DIGIT, introduces a new \u201csovereignty score\u201d formula<\/a> to assess cloud providers\u2019 compliance with EU rules.
