Aaron Dingle<\/a> (Danny Miller<\/a>) is set to discover the truth regarding the fate of his best friend Mackenzie Boyd<\/a> (Lawrence Robb<\/a>) as his deranged husband John Sugden<\/a> (Oliver Farnworth<\/a>) finally comes unstuck, leading to a deadly showdown.<\/p>\n

John looked set to escape the Dales with husband Aaron by his side, safe in the knowledge that nobody else suspected that it was him who\u2019d been terrorising the village. <\/p>\n

But along came Mack.<\/p>\n

Audiences watched in horror as John shot poor Mack with a bow and arrow after he found John\u2019s scrapbook. Though fans believed that John had callously murdered<\/a> Mack, he\u2019s actually keeping him (barely) alive in an underground bunker<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Determined to keep Aaron in line amidst the situation he\u2019s found himself in, John takes to drugging his husband, though it isn\u2019t long before Aaron begins to wake up to what John is truly capable of.<\/p>\n

\u2018I think he starts to realise that there\u2019s stuff going on that he doesn\u2019t know about.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u2018Of course he\u2019s got Mackenzie\u2019s voice in the back of his head, and he\u2019s got Robert\u2019s voice in the back of his head and he\u2019s trying to ignore all that because he wants it to work with John,\u2019 Danny Miller said, on Aaron starting to work out what\u2019s really going on.<\/p>\n

Though we won\u2019t reveal just how Aaron discovers the link between John and Mack\u2019s disappearance, rest assured that he does, and he\u2019s determined to discover what happened to his friend.<\/p>\n

As things head full steam toward a crescendo, Robert arrives at the cottage with a bag full of accusations to lay at John\u2019s feet. <\/p>\n

The verbal sparring soon gives way to a physical fight and Robert is left unconscious, while Aaron takes the distraction as an opportunity to search the woods for the hatch that could provide him with the answers to Mack\u2019s ultimate fate.<\/p>\n

Before long, Aaron is caught by John, who\u2019s still clinging to the hope that the two can work things out.<\/p>\n

We know things are about to take a downward turn<\/a>, but before Aaron finds himself at the bottom of the gorge with his unhinged husband, will he learn what happened to his bestie? Will Mack finally be set free?<\/p>\n
