Ellen DeGeneres <\/a>is pulling back the curtain \u2014 literally \u2014 on her New England Country home with wife Portia de Rossi.<\/a><\/p>\n

In a video shared via Instagram<\/a> on Sunday, October 19, DeGeneres and de Rossi\u2019s puppy Sport and dog Kid were seen running around the pair\u2019s living room. \u201cSport teaches Kid how to play,\u201d DeGeneres, 67, wrote over the video.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ve finally figured it out. We\u2019ve all been sad since losing Augie,\u201d DeGeneres captioned the video, referring to the couple\u2019s late dog, who died in May. \u201cSport has brought so much joy into the house and it makes us so happy to see Kid play again, even though he has a very unique style of play.\u201d<\/p>\n

While documenting the pooches\u2019 antics, DeGeneres showed off the ceiling-high windows with a view of the Cotswolds. In the living room, DeGeneres and de Rossi, 52, placed a large area rug with a glass table on top. Across from the windows, a dining room table sits in front of a staircase that leads into another room.<\/p>\n

DeGeneres and de Rossi, who tied the knot in 2008, relocated to the English countryside<\/a> in 2024. The next year, DeGeneres got candid about the couple\u2019s decision to move across the pond.<\/p>\n

During a live conversation with English broadcaster Richard Bacon in July, DeGeneres confirmed the pair resided in the U.K. because of President Donald Trump\u2019s reelection. While DeGeneres and de Rossi were initially planning on spending three or four months per year in the U.K. at a \u201cpart time house,\u201d they had a change of heart.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe got here the day before the election and woke up to lots of texts from our friends with crying emojis, and I was like, \u2018He got in,\u2019\u201d DeGeneres recalled of Trump, 79. \u201cAnd we\u2019re like, \u2018We\u2019re staying here.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

While reflecting on their move, DeGeneres gushed that her quieter life and change of pace with de Rossi is \u201cabsolutely beautiful.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re just not used to seeing this kind of beauty. The villages and the towns and the architecture \u2014 everything you see is charming and it\u2019s just a simpler way of life,\u201d DeGeneres said. \u201cIt\u2019s clean. Everything here is just better \u2014 the way animals are treated, people are polite. I just love it here.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cWe moved here in November, which was not the ideal time, but I saw snow for the first time in my life. We love it here. Portia flew her horses here, and I have chickens, and we had sheep for about two weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n

In Us Weekly\u2019s August cover story<\/a>, sources shared that DeGeneres is content in her new home. The property includes a 10,000 square-foot home called Hiaven, which the pair bought for a reported $26 million.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a different lifestyle for her,\u201d an insider said at the time. \u201cShe\u2019s very chill and in her element.\u201d<\/p>\n

With the country living<\/a>, the source shared that DeGeneres has been \u201cfarming and gardening and taking care of her animals.\u201d The insider added, \u201cThose close to her have never seen her happier.\u201d<\/p>\n
