{"id":94340,"date":"2025-10-22T13:38:12","date_gmt":"2025-10-22T13:38:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/94340\/"},"modified":"2025-10-22T13:38:12","modified_gmt":"2025-10-22T13:38:12","slug":"supercars-news-jackson-walls-named-as-sct-triple-eight-driver","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/94340\/","title":{"rendered":"Supercars news: Jackson Walls named as SCT Triple Eight driver"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/nz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/SCT-Walls-8862.jpg\" alt=\"Jackson Walls named as SCT Triple Eight driver\"\/><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tJackson Walls will race in Supercars with Triple Eight in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The Triple Eight Super2 driver has been linked to the seat <a href=\"https:\/\/speedcafe.com\/supercars-news-2025-bathurst-1000-triple-eight-sct-logistics-brad-jones-racing\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">since news of SCT Motorsport\u2019s defection to Triple Eight broke on the eve of the Bathurst 1000.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>His promotion is now official, with Walls to join Broc Feeney and Will Brown in the T8 stable for the 2026 Supercars season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is a real movement happening at the moment within Supercars around the progression of exciting young talent, the racing they are delivering is exceptional \u2013 we want to be a part of it and absolutely believe that Jackson will deliver on all fronts for SCT Motorsport,\u201d said SCT Motorsport boss Andrew Jones.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJackson will not only have the full support of everyone within SCT Motorsport, but also the entire Triple Eight organisation who have an amazing record of providing raw talent with the right tools and guidance to produce world class racing drivers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a genuinely exciting period of change for this program, everything that has been implemented is with the pursuit of success in mind and having the right driver forms a key part of that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Walls, son of Objective Corporation boss and GT racer Tony, has competed in the likes of Australian F4, Formula Regional Oceania Championship and Carrera Cup.<\/p>\n<p>This year, he is racing in Super2 with Triple Eight and currently sits fifth in the points with one race win to his name.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am super excited for the opportunity with SCT Motorsport and Triple Eight and I am very grateful for the support of Pete [Smith], Andrew [Jones] and Jamie [Whincup] for their faith in me to perform,\u201d said Walls.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlready being part of the Triple Eight team is a huge advantage. I\u2019ve spent time in the Triple Eight factory this year and seen everyone\u2019s commitment to winning races firsthand.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy rookie year in Super2 has been a solid introduction to driving a Supercar and our recent race and round<br \/>win at Queensland Raceway was good step in building confidence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI really can\u2019t wait for the 2026 season to start and to get behind the wheel of the Supercar.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Triple Eight boss Jamie Whincup welcomed the opportunity to promote from within the team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are thrilled to announce another young talent to the Supercars grid in 2026,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year, we\u2019ve been working closely with Jackson in our Super 2 program, and it\u2019s always nice to recruit from within our ranks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJackson has made significant strides in finessing these unique cars, and while we recognise there\u2019s still a long journey to perfection, we are fully committed to the challenge and eagerly look forward to the road ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/speedcafe.com\/supercars-news-jamie-whincup-triple-eight-sct-motorsport-expansion\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Whincup won\u2019t rule out fourth Triple Eight entry<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Jackson Walls will race in Supercars with Triple Eight in 2026.
