He pointed to the way the film, in which he stars as Marty McFly, has a David and Goliath story, which is something film fans can still take something from.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cI think there\u2019s a lot to that right now.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think a lot of people are responding to the movie because it strikes chords they wouldn\u2019t otherwise recognise.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fox previously explained how he tries to keep his sense of humour \u201cintact\u201d amid his battle with Parkinson\u2019s, which causes uncontrollable movements, such as shaking, stiffness, and difficulty with balance and coordination.<\/p>\n

He told People magazine: \u201cIt\u2019s hard for me. But I gotta keep it intact.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the years since his diagnosis, the actor has established the Michael J Fox Foundation \u2013 which is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson\u2019s and has gone on to fund $2 billion worth of research \u2013 and upon its annual gala, stars such as Stevie Nicks arrived to show their support.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI can\u2019t believe \u2014 a lot of these people I\u2019ve known for years and years \u2014 they\u2019re so kind to me.<\/p>\n
