Lest you forgot, former child star JoJo Siwa<\/a> and Love Island U.K. alum Chris Hughes<\/a> are still an item. Not only are the couple going strong, but they recently unlocked a new level in the celebrity-relationship hierarchy: Red Carpet Official. On Tuesday night, Siwa and Hughes attended the gala for Dancers Against Cancer, a nonprofit dedicated to providing financial assistance and resources to dancers impacted by the disease.<\/p>\n Earlier in the day, Hughes surprised<\/a> his 22-year-old girlfriend with the news that she\u2019d be receiving the Humanitarian Award for her decade of service to the organization. In a video captured by E! News, Hughes begins crying as he tells Siwa, \u201cYou should be very proud,\u201d before wiping away his tears and adding, \u201cI\u2019m gonna be a proper mess onstage.\u201d In response, Siwa said she was \u201cin shock,\u201d only to burst into laughter: \u201cI\u2019m sorry, I know I shouldn\u2019t be laughing right now, but you\u2019re so cute.\u201d<\/p>\n Later in the evening, the duo made their grand debut on the red carpet, where they laid the PDA on thick. Siwa wore a sleeveless black gown accentuated with pearls, while Hughes \u2014 who apparently didn\u2019t get the memo about coordinated couple looks \u2014 wore a brown polka-dot shirt and white disco pants that would make Elvis proud. They shared a few kisses for the paparazzi as they alternated hugging and staring into each other\u2019s eyes. When Us Weekly asked why they\u2019d chosen the Beverly Hills event for their big debut, Siwa said<\/a>, \u201cI mean, honestly, just kind of how the cookie crumbled,\u201d though she did admit the appearance was a \u201cbig deal.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYou in this wonderful, wonderful situation,\u201d Hughes added while looking at Siwa lovingly. \u201cThe Humanitarian Award\u2019s incredible, so to come here tonight, and kind of have a small involvement and be able to present her with the award is very special.\u201d<\/p>\n As usual, the couple took the opportunity to gush about each other. Of her feelings for Hughes, Siwa said, \u201cAnything about him, I just adore it.\u201d She added that, thanks to Hughes, \u201cthis is the calmest I\u2019ve felt in a really long time.\u201d<\/p>\n Believe it or not, it\u2019s been only six months since these two first got together<\/a> while competing on the reality series Celebrity Big Brother U.K. in April. Both parties initially denied there was anything romantic between them, and Siwa was dating Kath Ebbs<\/a> at the time (Ebbs later claimed Siwa dumped them at the CBB wrap party). At least two people in this triangle seem to have found their happily ever after.
