The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP<\/a>) has outlined the 20 mental health conditions that could qualify you for up to \u00a3749.80 a month in Personal Independence Payments (PIP)<\/a>.<\/p>\n PIP is a disability benefit<\/a> for working-age adults who have an illness, disability or mental health condition. It comprises a daily living rate component and a mobility rate component – eligibility for one or both depends on individual circumstances<\/a>.<\/p>\n Payments are typically made every four weeks, and if you qualify for both the enhanced daily living and enhanced mobility components, you will receive a total of \u00a3749.80 over this pay period. Depending on personal circumstances, individuals can claim either one or both of the daily living or mobility components.<\/p>\n There are 20 types of psychiatric disorders that qualify you for Personal Independence Payment, according to the most recent Government data as of July 2025, reports the Manchester Evening News<\/a>. According to these figures, there were a total of 1,482,217 PIP claims made based on various mental health conditions.<\/p>\n Below is the comprehensive list of the conditions, including examples, and the number of active PIP claims based on these conditions as of July.<\/p>\n Full list of 20 mental health conditions<\/p>\n This comes after PIP rates increased in April in line with inflation. Every year, benefit rates rise in line with the rate of inflation from the previous September.<\/p>\n In September 2024, this was confirmed to be 1.7%, as per the consumer price index.
