Anthony Joshua is back in training after his successful elbow surgery in May.

The former two-time heavyweight boxing champion has not been in the ring since he was knocked out by fellow Brit Daniel Dubois last September.

Joshua looked sharp in a recent video on social media, where he was seen working up a sweat while shadow boxing in the gym.

The 35-year-old is looking to make a return to the ring, with the option of taking on Jake Paul becoming an increasing possibility in 2026.

Paul has shaken up the world of boxing since entering the ring and he has gone on to call out the sport’s biggest names, including heavyweight champion of the world Oleksandr Usyk.

He has one single defeat on his record, losing to Tommy Fury, and has competed at cruiserweight, not the heavyweight level that Joshua has been accustomed to in his career.

The prospect of fighting Joshua – likely to be in a major sports stadium in the United States – is becoming an increasingly appealing option.

Paul previously fought an ageing Mike Tyson, in his prime one of boxing’s all-time greats but far from that in a fight with modified rules against Paul at the AT&T Stadium in Texas.

Before any potential bout against Joshua, Paul will take on Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis on November 15 in an exhibition live on Netflix.

Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) and Netflix announced the fight, which will take place at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

Davis, a 5ft 5in lightweight, may be small of stature but packs a punch having knocked out 28 of his 31 opponents to date.
