The winner of Destination X has broken their silence on their feud with a co-star.

The BBC‘s globetrotting reality competition came to an end on Thursday (August 28), with host Rob Brydon announcing the winner.

After weeks of twists and turns, the final three contestants were Saskia, Josh and Judith.

In the final, they were tasked with finding Rob in their last location, Rome. They had to solve a number of cryptic clues along the way, with Judith reaching the destination first and successfully bagging the £100,000 jackpot.

Judith was overcome with emotion after finding out that she had won the show, saying: “Oh my god. I feel like it’s been so hard. Oh my god, this is a lot. I literally can’t believe it.”

The 27-year-old nuclear engineer appeared on BBC Breakfast on Friday (August 29) to reflect on her win.

“I’m still shocked. I was still processing it like everyone else was processing it. I felt like I went in there so far behind compared to everyone else,” she told hosts Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt.

“That was a mental thing that I needed to get over going into it. It was such a shock… I just knew going [into the final] that I had to be quick and had to think very quickly.”

Judith also opened up about her competitive rivalry with Saskia after fans noticed tension between the pair.

“You get onto the bus. Everybody’s there for a reason, they’ve all got massive personalities. Everybody has a strong personality and sometimes that can get overshadowed a little bit, or you can feel like all the strong personalities are so strong that yours seems a little bit smaller,” she said.

“But as soon as I got onto the bus and when I told everybody that I was a nuclear engineer, I think that intimidated some people.

“Knowledge on the bus is power and Saskia had a lot of knowledge. She’d done a lot of research, she was so knowledgeable and then I think people picked up on that quite early on. So, withholding that knowledge also means not spending too much time with me.”

She added: “I think that’s where it does come across that I do spend a lot of time on my own on the bus and I had to figure out a lot of things on my own.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Judith revealed that she planned to use her winnings to go travelling through Asia.

She concluded: “I do really want to make sure that it lasts a long time and I’ll put it to good use… Be sensible.”
