Celtic are pushing hard to sign Sebastian Tounekti.
The Hoops submitted an initial offer of €3m for the Hammarby winger and Tunisian international, but that was nowhere near enough.
The Swedes told Celtic that around €6m would be needed to land Tounekti, however the Parkhead giants decided to lodge another lowball offer.
The second bid was said to be worth a total of £4.7m which included add-ons, though Hammarby are sticking to their original valuation.

Swedish outlet FotbollDirekt are reporting that Celtic’s improved offer has also been rejected, with Hammarby holding out for £6.25m for Tounekti.
The article states: “According to FotbollDirekt’s information, Hammarby is standing its ground and has also rejected this second offer.
“Bajen instead demands a lot more – something FD reported earlier this week.
“According to sources, sports director Mikael Hjelmberg and the management want up to 80 million kronor for the successful winger who has established himself as one of the best names in the Swedish league this year.”
Similar Celtic story regarding Kasper Dolberg
The real theme of Celtic’s summer transfer window has been lowball offers. Time after time, reports emerge explaining that the Hoops are not meeting valuations for targets.
That appears to be the situation revolving around Kasper Dolberg at the moment.
Danish outlet Bold claim that Dolberg is on the verge of leaving Anderlecht for Celtic in a deal worth £8m, with the 27-year-old set to sign a four-year contract.
But Belgian and Scottish journalists are countering that with reportage that states Celtic are yet to come to an agreement with Anderlecht.
