Kiall Kelly, 19, from Gorleston, is planning to cycle 3,500 miles from southern Spain to the northern tip of Norway to become the youngest person to cycle the length of Europe.
The teenager, who will run the London Marathon for Scleroderma & Raynaud’s UK (SRUK) next year, is doing the journey to raise money for the charity as his younger brother Archie, eight, suffers from a form of scleroderma.

The journey, which will take Mr Kelly through nine countries, will begin on September 1.
Mr Kelly said: “On September 1, I’ll be setting off on the ride of my life.
“I will be cycling from Tarifa, in southern Spain, all the way to Nordkapp, in Norway.
“That’s more than 3,500 miles across nine countries, and I’ll be aiming to set a world record along the way.
“But this journey is about so much more than a record attempt.
“I’m doing it for my little brother, Archie, who was diagnosed with scleroderma a year ago.
“There’s no cure and the treatment he’s already faced at such a young age – biopsies, scans, hospital stays, steroids and weekly injections – would test anyone.
“But Archie has shown nothing but courage.
“He still has a long road ahead, but I want to do everything I can to help.”
Gemma Cornwell, head of fundraising and engagement at SRUK, said: “We are incredibly proud to have Kiall as one of our supporters, and his determination to go to such lengths for his younger brother and the wider scleroderma community is nothing short of inspiring.
“We wish Kiall the best of luck in this latest leg of his fundraising journey.”
