Roscommon Racecourse is set for an all-flat card on Monday, September 1st, following on from what was a very successful Family Day.
The race for the Jockey’s Championship is heating up and Colin Keane and Dylan Browne McMonagle, who are at the top of the table, were involved in a very tight finish to our feature last time out, with Keane’s mount Check This Out winning by an inch over Giovanni Giorgio.
The winner was trained by Noel Meade, who is enjoying a fine season with his flat runners, and we’ll have those two riders and all the main flat yards represented on September 1st.
The jockeys have been very complimentary about the racecourse ground. Hopefully, the heavens will open as it’s a labour-intensive job to get the track right.
In that regard, the ground staff have done a marvellous job all year. Race sponsors are Lidan Designs and EBF.
The best turned out prizes in each race are sponsored by Casey Lawnmowers, Fuerty.
It has been a great year, and attendances have remained very consistent, and all loyal patrons are thanked for their continued support. Admission prices for Monday, September 1st are Adults: €10 and OAP/Students: €5.
