Nathan Horne, 40, used to be a trainer at Ipswich Boxing club before a traumatic life event changed his life forever.

He is now one year into his career as a medium and is taking his new way of life to his old stomping ground on Saturday, September 6.

“Unlike the old-fashioned way of mediums describing past loved ones to you, I go one further a give you a message from them.”

Mr Horne explained how his life fell apart after he separated from his partner – whom he had two kids with.

He moved into a house share where he bought the cheapest mattress he could find and sat in an empty room with it on the floor as he couldn’t afford a frame.

Mr Horne hit self-proclaimed rock-bottom after becoming addicted to alcohol and drugs.

He added: “I nearly lost everything through addiction, it was only when the person I was renting the room from noticed I was going down a dark path that my life got back on track.”

He was introduced to a professional medium and after weeks of training and teaching, he developed his own ability.

After his first show last May, Mr Horne has toured East Anglia and Essex connecting people to loved ones.

He is now teaming up with fellow medium Paul Bannister for his next show at Ipswich Boxing Club on September 6.

Mr Horne said: “I’ve had loads of people say how brilliant the shows have been and others think it’s fake.

“That’s fine, it doesn’t bother me at all because I’m not here to convince anyone that there is another world, just come along and see what you make it of.”
