The son of a much-loved mum killed in a collision in Smethwick has paid tribute saying he has ‘lost my world.’
Pedestrian Baljit Kaur, 62, was struck by a car on Thimblemill Road, shortly before 9.30pm, on Thursday, August 28.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, she died at the scene.

Baljit’s family have today paid tribute to her, saying she worked as a carer, and always put others before herself.
Her son Daninder said: “I’ve lost my mom, I’ve lost my world.”
Baljit’s family are being supported by specialist police officers.
The force said their thoughts remain with them at this incredibly difficult time.

The police statement added: “Our investigation into the collision is continuing, and a 35-year-old man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
“Erjon Aliaj appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court yesterday (30 August) and has been remanded in custody ahead of a further hearing next month.
“We are still appealing for information and footage, and we’re asking anyone who hasn’t yet spoken to us to call 101 or email sciu@westmidlands.police.uk quoting log number 5290 of 28 August.”
