A fan frenzy recently engulfed Darlinghurst’s Oxford Street as internationally acclaimed rapper Tyler, the Creator launched his streetwear brand in Sydney.
The megastar, who is currently on the Australian leg of his Chromakopia tour, was snapped on Friday at the opening of his fourth Golf Wang flagship store.
The 34-year-old rapper was trendy as ever as he arrived at the bricks-and-mortar store wearing a $235 Golf Wang button-up shirt, which appeared to show a collage of pictures of hands holding a cigarette over a pair of jeans.
He paired the eye-catching ensemble with black trousers, black loafers and a black hat.Â
Tyler, whose real name is Tyler Gregory Okonma, was met with a large crowd of excited fans, who lined the street to catch a glimpse of the See You Again hitmaker.
He could be seen waving to the masses of people outside the Oxford Street shop while being accompanied by security.Â

The high-profile musician launched the clothing brand Golf Wang in 2011 as an extension of Odd Future, the musical collective he co-founded.Â
What began as a Los Angeles pop-up in November that year has since evolved into a thriving online store, a string of flagship locations worldwide, and a brand name recognised by many.Â
Tyler played three sold-out shows at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena last week, where he turned heads after making a cheeky comment about Australia.Â
Addressing the packed venue, Tyler said: ‘Shout out to all the black folks in the crowd,’ which was met with loud cheers.
He then playfully added: ‘Australia is the whitest place on Earth.’
Tyler’s next slew of concerts on his Chromakopia tour will be held at Perth’s RAC Arena on September 4 and 5.
Frank Ocean fans were recently left devastated after discovering that he doesn’t feature on Tyler’s Chromakopia album, having spent the run-up to its release convincing themselves he’d make a surprise appearance.
Tyler released his eighth studio album in October, just two weeks after initially announcing the project.Â

It was during the marketing rollout that fans went wild, theorising that the Thinkin Bout You singer Frank, 37, would make a sneaky guest appearance, thanks to a few red herrings.
The internet went into a spiral after they figured out that Chromakopia would drop on Frank’s 37th birthday.
They also noticed that Tyler drove a white Ferrari in the music video for the song Noid, which was released as a single on October 21.
Fans immediately believed the car to be a nod to Frank’s track White Ferrari, which featured on his 2016 album, Blonde, and took it as a hint that a collaboration was imminent.
Additionally, a teaser for Tyler’s new track St Chroma sent the internet into a tailspin, with many speculating that Tyler had collaborated with Frank due to the cryptic vocals.
It has since been revealed that Daniel Caesar lent his vocals to the track.
Frank, however, is nowhere to be seen on Chromakopia.
Instead, the 14-song track list includes features from guests GloRilla, Daniel Caesar, Teezo Touchdown, and Childish Gambino, to name but a few.
