EastEnders’ Jack Branning takes matters into his own hands next week and attempts to frame Ravi Gulati for the recent shooting.
Ravi has no clue that he’s been betrayed by his former love rival – but will Jack be caught before he can plant the damning evidence?

It’s still under wraps who ends up getting wounded by the fateful bullet, or who ultimately pulls the trigger – but this week Jack is forced to consider his next move, while Denise Fox grows increasingly suspicious of her partner.
DS Spencer pays him a visit to discuss the violent incident, and Jack fibs about his movements that night. Denise is aware that his cover story is complete rubbish, so she confronts Jack and questions him about his lies.
Later, Ravi is brought into the station for questioning and decides on a risky tactic – telling the police that he was with Jack on the night of the shooting.

“Ravi’s decision to use Jack as an alibi sends the investigation right back in the direction of his archenemy,” explains our source.
“Jack is forced to think on his feet when he is questioned again, and he tells his colleagues that he was trying to recruit Ravi as a police informant at the time the gun was fired. Will this be enough to get the authorities off his case?”
With the walls closing in on the two men, Jack and Ravi agree to dispose of the gun once and for all. The pair put a plan in place, but Jack suddenly changes his mind after a visit from DS Spencer…

Ravi is furious when Jack doesn’t show up to their arranged meeting spot and corners him in the Square the next day in search of answers. Jack promises that they really will get rid of the deadly weapon together – but he’s secretly cooking up a sinister scheme.
“Jack tells Ravi to leave Walford and act as a decoy for the police, leaving him free to destroy the evidence with no eyes on him,” our spy says. “But it’s all a complete con: Jack just wants to get Ravi out of the way so he can plant the gun in his flat!”
With Ravi miles from home, Jack puts his plan into motion and sneaks into No. 5A to leave the gun. But he faces an unexpected obstacle when Priya Nandra-Hart arrives home.
As panicked Jack hides, all he can do is pray that he isn’t spotted. Has his shady plan been scuppered?
